Wellness Wednesday :: Teeth Whitening with Activated Charcoal

Activated-charcoal-review

Hey, guys! Today’s Wellness Wednesday is a post all about using activated charcoal for teeth whitening! You have probably seen the ads for activated charcoal all over Facebook, but if you haven’t, activated charcoal is the newest trend for at-home, DIY teeth whitening! This is a wellness-wednesday post because it’s a safe and natural way of whitening your teeth, compared to bleach whitening which can seriously damage your teeth, or laser whitening which will break the bank! I actually can’t even use whitening gel or strips or anything like that on my teeth because my teeth are SO sensitive, which is sad because I’ve always wanted to whiten my teeth,...

R E V I E W :: Alba Botanica Facial Sunscreen

Hey, guys! Happy July! Today I am sharing with you, my FAVORITE face sunscreen ever, which says a lot because I have tried out a million different face sunscreens, and I’ve hated them all. I know I shouldn’t hate sunscreen because it’s so beneficial to use, but 99% of sunscreens I have tried in my life have made me break out, dried out my skin, or just give me a ghostly white cast over my face. I hate how sunscreen feels on my face, and I don’t love the smell. All around I’m not a fan of sunscreen, and I will usually just skip it if I can. UNTIL NOW....

R E V I E W :: Tarte Maracuja Oil

Hey, guys! Today’s quick review is for Tarte’s Maracuja face oil! I’ve already talked about this oil in my post about why face oils are amazing (here) and it’s also been featured in my daily skin care routine, here! This product is my absolute favorite face oil, and I love it so much that I think it deserves its own blog post! First off, this product is perfect for all skin types (even oily!!). A lot of people are scared of putting oil on their face (especially people with oily skin) because they’re afraid of breaking out, but it’s just the opposite! Adding oil to your skin with balance out...

R E V I E W :: Lush Rainbow fun

Hey guys no big deal but I’m pretty sure I found the greatest product for minimalist traveling ever. The Lush Rainbow Fun is a colorful, delicious smelling clay that works as a shampoo, body wash, and a bubble bath!! When I first saw this roll of colorful clay in the Lush store I was confused about how play-dough (it’s also marketed as play-dough), could be shampoo, but the lady working at the store informed me that once the clay gets wet, you rub it in your hands and it becomes sudsy and can be used as shampoo and body wash! She told me she uses less than half of one...

B E A U T Y :: How to Cancel Out Under Eye Circles & Morning Puffiness

It’s Monday morning (yes I know that today is actually Tuesday just go with it). The weekend really took its toll on you…maybe you had 1 too may glasses of wine or slices of pizza. Not enough sleep, and not enough water…and that’s okay because you had a fun weekend with #noragrets……until you wake up for work on Monday morning super groggy with puffy eyes and swollen skin. Nothing is worse for me than an extremely puffy morning. It  makes me feel groggy, and I hate doing my makeup when I look puffy! I also have sensitive skin and seasonal allergies so I wake up puffy more often than I’d...

W E L L N E S S :: Why Beauty Oils are the Fountain of Youth You’ve Been Searching For!

You’ve read the title correctly- whether you have oily, dry, normal, sensitive, or combination skin- beauty oils are for you! If you asked me to willingly put oil on my face 1 year ago I would have laughed in your face…zit city!! I’ve learned to never say never, because today I am sharing all of the beauty oils I currently use, why I love them so much, and how they’ve changed my skin for life! As I’ve mentioned before, I decided to give beauty oils and essential oils a try after reading The French Beauty Solution by Mathilde Thomas. I loved the idea of using beauty oils as moisturizer because...
